FAQ

Frequently asked questions about submitting work, voting, and PRO/Agency plans.

What is Braaands™?

+

Braaands™ is a curated branding platform that highlights outstanding brand identities and connects independent designers with a global audience through a daily Brand of the Day vote.

How is Brand of the Day chosen?

+

Every approved submission opens for voting for at least 5 days, and voting always closes at 00:00 UTC. Votes from the jury, PRO/Agency members, and members who had an approved submission when voting count toward a weighted score. Each day, of the submissions whose voting closed at midnight with at least 5 counting votes, the highest-scoring one wins Brand of the Day — the runner-up becomes that day's Honorable Mention. See How it works for the full breakdown.

Can I submit my own brand work?

+

Yes. Sign in, complete your designer profile, and submit from your dashboard. Free accounts get 2 submissions per month, PRO gets 4, and Agency/Studio gets 6 — beyond that, single extra submissions cost €10 (€8 for PRO and Agency/Studio members).

Who can vote on Braaands™?

+

Anyone with a completed profile can vote while a submission's voting window is open — once per submission, never on their own work, and at no cost. Votes from the jury, PRO/Agency members, and members who had at least one approved submission when voting count toward the score and the 5-vote quorum. Other members' votes are shown separately and don't count, and free accounts without an approved submission can vote once every 24 hours. Once your first submission is approved — or right away with PRO or Agency/Studio — the votes you cast from then on count.

What's the difference between Free, PRO, and Agency/Studio?

+

PRO and Agency/Studio plans include more monthly submissions, votes that count toward the score from day one, a status badge and extended profile, a direct client-inquiry box, and priority review of your submissions. See Pricing for the full comparison.

How do clients get in touch with designers?

+

PRO and Agency/Studio designers can enable a direct-inquiry box on their public profile, letting potential clients reach out with a project, budget, and deadline directly.

Do I keep the rights to my submitted work?

+

Yes. You keep ownership of everything you submit. By submitting, you confirm you own the rights to it or have permission to share it, and you give Braaands™ the right to display, feature, and promote it on the platform, in our newsletter, and across our social channels.

Can I submit AI-assisted work?

+

Yes, but you must truthfully declare at upload whether a submission contains AI-generated or AI-modified elements. Work that closely imitates an existing brand or design isn't allowed, with or without AI.

How is a submission scored on Braaands™?

+

Every submission is rated on four criteria: Design & Craft (40%), Strategy (30%), Originality (20%), and Brand Story (10%). Only counting votes enter the score — from the jury, PRO and Agency/Studio members, and members who had an approved submission when they voted — and they're weighted by voter type: jury votes count most, then PRO and Agency/Studio members, then Free members who already had approved work. A submission needs at least 5 counting votes before it can win anything. The score also sets aside a group's single highest and lowest vote once that group has enough votes, counts votes for less from voters who rate everything at the very top or bottom of the scale, and nudges a score built on only a few votes toward the site-wide average. Scores stay hidden while voting is open; a Brand of the Day page then shows the headline score next to four bars with the plain average of the counting votes per criterion.

Is Braaands™ free to use?

+

Yes. Browsing, voting, and creating a designer profile cost nothing, and Free accounts can submit 2 pieces of work per month — once one is approved, the votes you cast from then on count toward the score too. Paid plans — PRO at €20 and Agency/Studio at €40 per month — add more submissions, votes that count from day one, a status badge, an extended profile, a direct client-inquiry box, and priority review.

How can I hire a brand designer through Braaands™?

+

Two ways. Browse the designer directory and send a request to any PRO or Agency/Studio designer who accepts inquiries on their profile, or post your project brief on the job board and let designers apply to you. Posting a brief is free while the board is getting started, and you can ask us to send you a shortlist of matching designers.

Can I sell my digital products on Braaands™?

+

Yes. The Braaands™ Market lists templates, mockups, fonts, and tools for designers. Listing costs a one-time fee of €50, paid when you submit. Every product is reviewed before it goes live, and the fee isn't refunded if yours isn't approved. You keep the sale and fulfilment on your own store, and you don't need an account to submit.

How long does voting on a submission last?

+

At least five days. Voting closes at 00:00 UTC on the sixth day after a submission is approved, so everything approved on the same day closes together. The highest-scoring submission of that day which reached at least 5 counting votes becomes Brand of the Day and the runner-up becomes Honorable Mention, announced the same morning. Afterwards, a Brand of the Day page shows its badge, final score and per-criterion averages, and an Honorable Mention page shows its badge and every counting vote, jury scores included.

Why doesn't my vote count toward the score?

+

Votes only count toward a nominee's score and its 5-vote quorum when they come from the jury, a PRO/Agency member, or a member who already has an approved submission. Your vote is still recorded and shown as a separate count on the nominee page. Once your first submission is approved — or you upgrade to PRO — every vote you cast from then on counts; votes cast before that stay as they were.
