Brands for Sale

Complete brand identities, designed and unused — ready for whoever needs them next.

Designers finish identities that never launch. Founders need an identity before they can launch. Braaands™ is building the marketplace that connects the two: full identity systems — logo, type, colour, guidelines — sold once, to one owner.

What brings you here?

One email when it launches. No newsletter, and you can unsubscribe from any of them.

If you're buying

01

See it before you buy it

No brief, no rounds, no waiting to find out what you get. Every identity is shown in full — the mark, the type, the colour system and how it holds together.

02

Buy it outright

One buyer per identity. Once it sells it comes off the marketplace, so the brand you launch with isn't running on someone else's business too.

03

Launch this week

You receive the working files and the guidelines, so the identity can go straight onto a site, a package or a storefront.

If you're selling

01

Use what you already made

Rejected concepts, lost pitches, self-initiated work. It's finished, it cost you time, and right now it earns nothing sitting in a folder.

02

List it once

You set what's included and what it's worth. Listings are reviewed before they go live, the same way submissions are.

03

Sell it and hand it over

An identity sells to a single buyer and transfers to them. You keep everything you didn't list.

Questions

Buying and selling brand identities

What is a ready-made brand identity?

+

A ready-made brand identity is a complete visual identity — name, logo, typography, colour system, and usage guidelines — designed in full but never used by a company. It's bought as a finished piece and adopted as-is, instead of commissioning a designer and going through a branding process from scratch.

Why would someone buy a brand identity instead of commissioning one?

+

Speed and certainty. A custom branding project typically runs weeks to months and the result isn't visible until it's finished. A ready-made identity is bought after seeing exactly what it looks like, and can be in use the same week. It suits founders who need to launch quickly and know a strong identity when they see one.

Why would a designer sell a brand identity?

+

Most designers hold finished work that never went live — concepts a client rejected, directions that lost out in a pitch, or self-initiated projects built for a portfolio. That work is already done and paid for in time. Selling it turns an unused file into income without any new client work.

Who owns a brand identity after it's sold?

+

The buyer. A sale on Braaands™ transfers the identity exclusively — it's removed from the marketplace and cannot be sold again. Selling an identity requires that you actually hold the rights to it, which rules out client work that was already paid for and delivered.

How is this different from a logo template?

+

A template is sold repeatedly to many buyers, so the same mark ends up on unrelated businesses. A brand identity here is sold once, to one buyer, and it's a full system rather than a single mark — the point is that nobody else is using it.

When does Brands for Sale launch?

+

There's no public launch date yet. Braaands™ is building the buyer and seller sides in parallel, and the waitlist is how both get told first — buyers when identities become available, designers when listings open.

Braaands™ already runs a directory of independent brand designers and a board for client projects. If you need something made rather than bought, start there.
