Braaands™ is operated by Braaands™ Roman Hajek, Dreihausgasse 9, 1150 Vienna, Austria. This policy explains what personal data we process on braaands.co and why, in line with the GDPR.
Email address (for magic-link sign-in and account identification), profile details you choose to add (name, bio, country, links, avatar), the brand identities and images you submit, the votes you cast, and — if you contact a designer or submit a consent-gated inquiry — the message, contact details, and IP address you provide, which we keep briefly to prevent abuse. If you book a sponsor slot, we collect the company name, website, email, description, and image you provide, even if you don't have an account. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email and, if given, your name. If you join the Brands for Sale waitlist, we collect your email, your name if given, and whether you want to buy or sell brand identities. If you opt in to Braaands™ news when signing in or in your dashboard, we record when you did.
To operate your account and the voting/award system, to display public designer profiles and submissions, to process paid plans, to forward inquiries to designers who have opted in to receive them, and to send the newsletter or the Brands for Sale launch email you signed up for, and Braaands™ news to members who opted in to it. Legal basis: performance of a contract (providing the service you signed up for) and, for inquiries, the newsletter, the waitlist and Braaands™ news, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time — in your dashboard for Braaands™ news, via the unsubscribe link in each email, or by writing to hello@braaands.co.
Supabase (database and authentication hosting), Vercel (application hosting), and Resend (email delivery) process data on our behalf under their own data processing agreements. Resend sends our account and service emails, which keeps a contact record for the addresses they go to, and stores the email address and, if given, the name of newsletter subscribers, Brands for Sale waitlist signups, and Free members who opted in to Braaands™ news as contacts, grouped into segments. If you consent to analytics cookies, Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics) processes anonymized usage data — see section 7. Paid plans and one-time purchases are billed through external payment providers — Braaands™ has no access to your payment or card details. Approved submissions (their images, title, description, score, and the credited designer name) may be featured in our newsletter and published to our social media accounts (Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok and Threads) through a third-party publishing tool, Upload-Post. If your designer profile includes an Instagram username, we share it with that tool and with Instagram so our award posts can invite you as a collaborator; the post appears on your Instagram profile only if you accept. If you submit a designer inquiry, your name, email, and message are forwarded directly to that designer. We do not sell personal data.
Account and submission data is kept for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account also deletes your uploaded files and your member contact at Resend; a newsletter or waitlist signup made with the same address is separate and stays. Inquiry messages are kept to allow both parties to refer back to them, unless you ask us to remove yours. Newsletter and waitlist signups are kept until you ask us to remove them; unsubscribing via the link in any of these emails stops all of them straight away.
You can access and edit most of your data directly from your dashboard, and permanently delete your account, submissions, votes, and awards at any time from there. Beyond that, you have the right under the GDPR to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and data portability — contact us below. You may also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde).
We use essential cookies required to keep you signed in — these don't require consent and are always active. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to understand how visitors use Braaands™ — pages visited, general location, and device type. Per Google's documentation, Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. Google Analytics only loads after you accept it in the cookie banner shown on your first visit; legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer, which resets your choice. See Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google processes this data.
