Seller FAQ

Licensing & Rights

Do I keep the rights to my design?

Yes. You always remain the copyright holder. Buyers receive a non-exclusive, perpetual usage license that allows them to use and adapt the Brand Kit for their own commercial purposes — either to build or rebrand their own business or to complete a project for one of their clients as part of their professional design services.

What exactly can buyers do with the Brand Kit?

A purchased license allows the buyer to:
• Use the Brand Kit to develop or rebrand their own business or product.
• Use the Brand Kit within a client project and invoice that client for their design services.

However, the buyer may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Brand Kit — neither in its original form nor in any modified version. The license only grants the right to use the design within a business or client context.

Fictional Brand Names

All brand names within Braaands™ Brand Kits are purely fictional and used for illustrative purposes.
Buyers are explicitly advised and required to change the fictional brand name to their own company or product name before using it commercially.
There is no claim or ownership right to the fictional name included in the kit, and Braaands™ and the Designer assume no liability for potential naming or trademark conflicts.

How long are licenses valid?

Licenses are perpetual — they never expire.

Do buyers get trademark rights?

No. Buyers only receive usage rights for the design assets. Trademark registration or protection of the name or visual identity must be handled by the buyer separately.

Payments & Payouts

How much can I earn per sale?

Designers receive 60% of each sale, minus around 8% in fees (bank & transaction costs).

How are payouts handled?

At the start, payouts are processed manually once per month, typically at the end of the month.

In what currency are payouts made?

Payouts are made in your local currency. We transfer the equivalent amount based on the Euro sale price.

Will I get an invoice or statement?

Yes. Braaands™ uses a self-billing system, meaning we generate all invoices for you and provide them electronically.

Submission & Review Process

How do I become a Seller?

We’re currently inviting a small group of selected designers to join the first phase of the marketplace.

Who reviews my Brand Kits?

During the start phase, all submissions are reviewed internally by the Braaands™ team to ensure quality and consistency.

How do I upload my Brand Kits?

Once approved as a Seller, your dashboard will be upgraded with access to the upload form and requirements.

Can I update or replace files later?

Yes, small adjustments are fine — but please let us know first to keep the product listing consistent.

Brand Kit Requirements

What should be included in a Brand Kit?

A Brand Kit should feel like a real client delivery and include:
• Logo suite (main + variations)
• Color palette with HEX, RGB, CMYK
• Typography setup
• Mood image suggestions
• Icons or illustrations (if applicable)

Do the fonts need to be free for commercial use?

Yes. Use Google Fonts or other commercially usable fonts. If your font requires a paid license, include a note or link where buyers can purchase it.

Do I have to use one of the Braaands™ briefs?

No, it doesn’t have to be one of our briefs — it can be any fictional brand you’ve created.

Platform & Visibility

How will my Brand Kits be shown?

Each Brand Kit will have its own page with your name, links to your profile, and high-quality visuals.

Will Braaands™ promote my work?

Yes. Featured Brand Kits may be shared on our social channels, in the newsletter, or as part of the Brand of the Day selections.

Who is behind Braaands™?

Braaands™ was founded by Roman Hajek, a designer and creative director based in Vienna, Austria. The project grew out of the BRANDBRIEF™ community and is now an independent global platform for brand designers.

Braaands™ is still in its early phase, and we’re continuously improving and testing the platform.
Some details of the process, pricing, or licensing model may evolve as we grow — but we’ll always keep all participating designers informed about any important updates or changes. Updated 11-2025
