Most branding inspiration pages are a wall of logos. A logo on its own tells you very little: not the idea behind it, not how it looks on a pack, a menu or a sign, not whether it holds together as a system. This page does it differently. It collects 46 real brand identities from Braaands™, sorted by industry, each with the idea its designer built it around, and one thing worth noticing per industry.

Braaands™ shows 944 approved brand identities from 332 independent designers (as of October 2026), and every day one of them is voted Brand of the Day. 466 have won so far. Below you'll find examples for twelve industries, a look at the numbers behind the platform, a simple method for turning inspiration into your own idea, and where to look for more.

Branding inspiration by industry

Skincare and personal care

The biggest industry on Braaands™ with 94 brands. Browse all skincare brands.

  • The White Rose by bysiddika carries a bold red palette and an expressive rose motif from the logo into bottles, patterns and labels, "giving each piece its own presence".
  • BARRE by bynillostudio builds "a whole visual world" around solid personal care, from product forms and packaging to travel cases and art direction.
  • GLOWA® by creavora positions skincare as wearable and portable, for a style-conscious Gen Z audience. It won an honorable mention.
  • RESIDUE by opimestudio is a deodorant brand that "reimagines traditional industry codes" with a bold, colorful identity inspired by a butterfly.

Notice: each of these sells an idea (a rose, solid care, wearable beauty, a butterfly) before it sells an ingredient.

Beverages

84 brands. Browse all beverage brands.

  • San Capri – Beverage Branding by designedinsleep is built around "the feeling of a long summer afternoon", with pressed flowers and botanical field notes for a cold-brewed iced tea. Honorable mention.
  • San Capri by biaacreates takes the same name and the same product, a botanical iced tea inspired by wild blooms, and gives it a look of its own. Honorable mention.
  • Encore by erandy is a non-alcoholic aperitif with bold fruit graphics, bright color and packaging meant to feel good in the hand.

Notice: two designers started from the same name and the same product and built two different worlds. The idea decides the look, not the category.

Bakery and pastry

71 brands, the third-biggest industry on the platform. Browse all bakery brands.

  • Sweet Cake Co. by lilyzdesigns gives a confectionery artist a premium, exquisite look with a "touch of Parisian style". Honorable mention.
  • Maru – Coffee and Bread by dirtyline is a Japanese-inspired café and bakery where "simplicity, warmth, and bold character" come together. It was Brand of the Day.
  • Momento by byjamilaahmad is built around "the simple pleasure of slowing down". Honorable mention.
  • Bori by moara is a Korean-inspired café with a full system of colors, typography and illustrations.

Notice: three of the four are cafés as much as bakeries, and two of them (Maru and Momento) are built around a daily ritual or a pause.

Restaurants and fast food

65 restaurant brands and 37 in fast food and street food. Browse restaurants and fast food.

  • Tropez Oyster Bar & Lounge by zso.designs draws on the French Riviera: "soft pink and mint tones with refined typography and hand-drawn details". Brand of the Day.
  • Ciao! by artworkbysofia is a takeaway pasta brand built around "an iconic red box", from packaging to signage.
  • CANTINA by wolfflowwolf brands an Italian restaurant for food lovers and "social butterflies".
  • Midday by helocrene strips the visual language of a classic deli "down to its essentials": utilitarian typography and straightforward layouts. Honorable mention.
  • BONSTER by tenvr is a burger brand with a playful chef mascot and a "chunky visual language". Honorable mention.
  • Picnica by nadeeneldelaa turns outdoor dining into a picnic-inspired restaurant. Honorable mention.

Notice: several of these build on a single object (a red box, a chef, a picnic) that the whole identity can be drawn from.

Coffee, café and matcha

53 coffee brands, 38 coffee shops and cafés, 25 matcha and 25 tea. We looked at the matcha ones in detail in Matcha Branding: 5 Approaches. Browse coffee, coffee shops, matcha and tea.

Fashion and apparel

45 brands. Browse all fashion brands.

  • Lätt by studio-noun-bcb3c is a Scandinavian fashion label named after the Swedish word for light, easy and soft to the touch. Brand of the Day.
  • Stolen Summer by nmi-creative is a swimwear brand "inspired by coastal reefs and effortless elegance". Honorable mention.
  • STOLEN SUMMER by opimestudio is another swimwear brand with the same name. It moves away from "the usual beachwear codes" toward a nostalgic, romantic vision of summer. Honorable mention.
  • Eight Hour by madstudiony is "modern workwear and tailoring. Standard Issue. Made to last." Honorable mention.

Notice: the two Stolen Summers show how far one name can stretch. One is about timeless elegance, the other about a summer you wish would last forever.

Honey, sauces and spreads

40 brands. Browse all sauce and spread brands.

  • Hummey by husain-studio flips the usual honey story. Instead of the bees, it tells the story of the animal that can't resist the honey, with a "sweet heist" personality. Brand of the Day.
  • HUMMEY by wooo-designs is an organic honey brand built on the relationship between a bee and a flower, with hand-drawn characters and expressive linework.
  • Hummey Honey by leyma-design is a conceptual honey brand with four flavors: Pure, Citrus, Smoky and Spiced. Honorable mention.
  • SAUCIN by chloesweeney-design brands a refillable sauce service for Gen Z, with an identity that is "loud, fun and creative".

Notice: three designers, one product, three ideas: the thief, the bee, the flavor range.

Sport, fitness and wellness

37 sport and fitness brands. Browse sport and fitness and wellness.

  • Nocturn by madstudiony is a late-night running collective: "No races, no medals. Every run starts after 10pm." Honorable mention.
  • BALNCE by madstudiony is a Pilates practice in London built on the idea that balance is "a thousand small adjustments". A crane stands for poise. Brand of the Day.
  • Step-by-Step Running Club by nadia-ariefdien is a community-driven club whose identity centers on a pixelated running figure.
  • Kinetic by artamrit is a sports-nutrition brand that deliberately rejects "exaggerated claims, aggressive aesthetics, and scientific complexity". Honorable mention.

Notice: one idea in this group is a constraint. Nocturn's rule (every run after 10pm) is the brand.

Wine, beer and spirits

24 brands. Browse all wine, beer and spirits brands.

Notice: every one of these sells a feeling first: patience, escape, good company, a golden afternoon.

Hotels and places to stay

24 brands. Browse all hotel and stay brands.

  • Paloma Holiday Residence by zso.designs is a Mediterranean hospitality brand inspired by olive groves, lemons and coastline. A dove and a key stand for peace, freedom and "arriving somewhere you instantly want to stay". Honorable mention.
  • Roamin' by unnfold-design offers flexible living and workspace for modern professionals and digital nomads, with "tech-infused accommodations in diverse locations".

Notice: Paloma's two-object symbol (a dove and a key) says the whole promise in one mark.

Fragrance and candles

21 brands. Browse all fragrance and candle brands.

  • Sundays in Sienna by ultramarinedesignstudio is a handcrafted candle brand "inspired by the warmth and softness of unhurried hours".
  • ZAHRA by thetalesofj is a Moroccan perfume house with hand-finished brass details on the bottle and an ambergris-inspired cap.
  • Lumea by lanab draws its name from light and glow "without being literal", with an intentionally minimal lowercase logo and generous spacing.

Notice: Lumea keeps the logo deliberately quiet, while ZAHRA puts the detail into the object.

Sweets and ice cream

21 sweets brands and 18 ice cream brands. Browse chocolate and sweets and ice cream and gelato.

  • YUMM by syeda-maham takes "a colorful approach to premium branding", moving away from the muted, minimal look of the category. Brand of the Day.
  • Rocco's by glowhubcreative is an artisanal gelato brand with cues from late 1960s Italy: expressive typography, warm nostalgic colors and playful geometric patterns. Brand of the Day.
  • Rocco's by tanayadesigns imagines the brand as "a whole little world": hand-drawn characters, bold blue and cheeky copy. Honorable mention.
  • Rocco's by spandydesigns is a handmade, nostalgic take on Italian gelato. Honorable mention.
  • Rocco's by biaacreates is built around the charm of "an old Italian gelato uncle". Brand of the Day.

Notice: four designers, one gelato name, four different personalities. Nostalgia is the only thing they share.

Studios, architecture and interiors

26 creative studio brands and 25 furniture and interior brands. Browse creative studios and furniture and interiors.

  • ARKETYPE by bynillostudio starts from the idea that interiors are about "the moments that happen inside them". Its custom wordmark is meant to feel "architectural but human". Brand of the Day.
  • Formade Studio by alliron-studio is an architecture studio whose identity plays typography against negative space, mirroring the relationship between architecture and its environment. The blue is inspired by the sky.
  • Noma by vasundhara offers Japanese furniture shaped by the balance between space and structure.

Notice: each states its idea about space in a sentence: moments, negative space, balance.

Where designers are from. 270 designers list a country on their profile, from more than 45 countries in total. India (about 40 designers), the United States (about 27), the United Kingdom (about 24), France (22) and Pakistan (11) lead, together almost half of them. The country field is free text, so these counts are approximate.

Three things to take from the numbers:

  1. Food and drink lead. Seven of the ten biggest industries are about eating or drinking. Skincare, fashion and sport are the exceptions. If your brand is in food or drink, this is where you'll find the most references.
  2. Design scores highest, originality lowest. The gap is small, 0.34 points, but it is a useful question to ask of your own work: is the idea as strong as the execution?
  3. The field is global. Designers from more than 45 countries submit work, so the references on this page come from many markets, not one.

How to use branding inspiration without copying it

Collecting pictures is easy. Turning them into a decision is the hard part. This method takes about an hour for one project.

  1. Pick 10 brands in your industry and 5 outside it. The outside ones are where original ideas come from. One of the Rocco's gelato brands borrows from late 1960s Italy, and a candle brand like Sundays in Sienna builds on unhurried hours.
  2. Decode each one in a single table. For every brand, write down these five things:
QuestionWhat to write
The ideaOne sentence. If you can't write it, the brand has no idea yet.
The audienceWho is it for?
The paletteThe two or three colors that carry it, and why.
The signature deviceThe one thing you'd remember: a mascot, a box, a pattern, a rule.
The systemWhere it shows up: pack, menu, sign, social.
  1. Sort them into "what everyone does" and "who breaks the pattern". Look at what the brands in your industry have in common, and decide on purpose whether you follow it.
  2. Choose one idea of your own before you design. Hummey and Nocturn each start from a single sentence, not from a style.
  3. Test it on three real surfaces. A pack, a menu or sign, and a small social avatar. If it only works on one, it's a logo, not an identity.

Inspiration is not copying. Borrow principles (a rule, a structure, a way of telling a story), not pictures. If someone could mistake your result for the original at a glance, go back a step. This is a design guideline, not legal advice. For trademark questions about a name or a mark, ask a professional.

Where to find more branding inspiration

No single source covers everything. These are the places designers actually use:

  • Braaands™ shows one new Brand of the Day every day, filterable by industry.
  • Behance is Adobe's portfolio platform, with full case studies from designers and studios worldwide.
  • Dribbble is a community where designers share work in progress and finished projects.
  • Brand New by UnderConsideration reviews corporate and brand identity work, including before and after.
  • The Dieline covers packaging design.
  • Fonts In Use is an archive of typography in real projects.
  • Pinterest is useful for collecting references into mood boards, but check the source before you rely on a picture.

Branding inspiration FAQ

What is branding inspiration?

Branding inspiration is any real example of a brand identity you study to learn how it works: the idea, the colors, the type, the packaging and the tone. It becomes useful when you take the principle, not the picture.

Where can I find good branding inspiration?

Start with sources that show the whole system, not only the logo. Braaands™ shows more than 900 brand identities with the idea behind each one, and platforms like Behance and Brand New show full case studies. The list above has more.

How do I use branding inspiration without copying?

Write down the idea behind each reference in one sentence, then build your own idea before you open a design tool. Borrow rules and structures, not shapes or color combinations. Test whether someone could confuse your result with the original.

What should I look at besides the logo?

The color system, the typography, how the brand looks on packaging, a menu or a sign, and how it talks. A logo alone doesn't show whether an idea holds up once it is applied.

How many references should I collect?

A focused board of 8 to 12 usually shows the pattern. More references tend to hide it. Add a few from outside your industry.
